One of the most exciting match of the UFC 111 live event is the Interim Heavyweight Bout between Frank Mir and Shane Carwin.

So what are the play-by-play results of the UFC fight between Frank Mir and Shane Carwin? The first 35 seconds of the Interim Heavyweight Bout looked like that each mixed martial arts fighter is feeling each other who wants to start the fight.

Apparently, Frank Mir breaks the silence with his right hand that Carwin ducks under. Immediately, Shane Carwin ties up with Frank Mir and moves him to the fencing. In defense, Carwin knees the left thigh of Mir and punches the head using his right hand.

UFC 111 referee Dan Miragliotta called to restart the fight in the center of the Octagon. In start, Frank Mir lands a right hand on the forehead of Carwin. Back to the thigh with knees goes Carwin from the clinch.

Shane Carwin explodes and floors Mir with a flurry of hooks and uppercuts to answer Miragliotta’s call for more action in the Octagon. Mir tries a desperate single uppercut and Carwin keeps teeing off.

Carwin blasts away with his left hand until Miragliotta pulls him off. The official time is 3:48 of round one and Shane Carwin was declared as the winner of the match beating Frank Mir.

I think Frank Mir has not yet fully recovered from his motorcycle accident before. Ever since that incident, he has become weak in his UFC fights. Anyway, congratulations to Shane Carwin for winning the Interim Heavyweight Bout.
