The world would be celebrating the World Teachers’ Day on October 5th and as early as this time, the Hindus are already commending all of them. The President of Universal Society of Hinduism, Rajan Zed has encouraged everyone to pay tribute to these noble heroes of the society. He has included it in his statement in Nevada, USA.

The event was created by UNESCO to celebrate the essential role of teachers in providing education to everyone. Through these noble teachers, leaders are created as well as professionals. The aim of the celebration is to ensure that the needs of future generations will continue to be met by teachers.

In Hinduism, a teacher is called Guru and has been highly regarded in the religion. They are helped the ignorance of the seeker and the person who leads one from darkness to light. Zed cited an example in ancient Hindu scripture Bhagavad-Gita (Song the Lord) wherein Arjuna formally asked Lord Krishna to be his guru.

The world should be grateful for all the teachers and their professional calling. Because of them, learning has been passed from one generation to the other.
